This incredible vintage Azzedine Alaia cropped black lamb velvety suede jacket was featured on the Fall 1989 Alaia runway in a variety of colors. Alaia jackets are fabulous to have in your closet to add instant style and interest to anything you wear!

This particular Alaia runway show was famously held in a space in the Marais area of Paris that Alaia was converting into a studio, but it wasn't quite ready! According to The Los Angeles Times, the glass-roofed space was leaky, even getting the models wet as they walked in the show! But Azzedine Alaia did always march to the bead of a different drummer, which is one of the things we love and admire most about him!
